until recently, the only reason I could think of to wear a boater was to avoid the wrath of prefects performing uniform duty. come to think of it, marc jacobs' squashed boaters look like my school hat after being retrieved from the bottom of my book bag at the polite request of said prefects. what a pity i didn't save it. now i'm feeling all nostalgic for school days.
